How to Scan a document using HP Envy 7645 Printer?

Scan to a Computer :

1. Load the original document, print side down, into the ADF or, place it on the right front corner of the scanner glass.
2. Select SCAN and select Computer.
3. Select Document Type, to select the type of document you want to save.
4. Select Start Scan.

For Mac operating systems:

1. Open HP Utility
2. Choose Scan to Computer under Scan settings
3. Select Enable Scan to Computer

HP Envy 7645 Wireless Setup For Windows:
1. Usually, the scan to computer feature is by default enabled.
2. If the option is disabled, then follow the steps to enable it.

Scan to a memory card:

1. Load the original document, print side down, into the ADF or, place it on the right front corner of the scanner glass.
2. Insert the memory card and select SCAN. Select Memory Device.
3. Select Document Type to select the type of document you want to save.
4. Select Start Scan.

SCAN TO EMAIL

Automatically send scanned photos and documents to one or more email addresses directly from the printer control panel.

1. Prepare for the scan job

a. Make sure that the printer is switched on and connected to your local wireless network with an active Internet connection.
b. Select the Wireless icon on the printer control panel to check the connection status.
c. Select the Web Services icon to confirm that Web Services is activated on your printer.

2.  HP Envy 7645 Setup the Scan to Email profile

a. On the printer control panel, select the Scan icon and then select Email.
b. On the welcome screen, select Continue.
c. Select inside the Email: box, type in your email address, and then select Done.
d. Select Continue.
e. A PIN is sent to the email address you entered. Select Continue.
Select PIN, enter the PIN you received in your email, and then select Done.
f. Select Store Email or Auto-login, depending on how you want the printer to store your login information.

3. Load the photo or document

a. You can scan from the scanner glass or from the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) tray.

4. Scan the item

a. Select your scan type and enter the email address you want to send the scan to.
b. On the printer control panel, select the Scan icon and then select Email.
c. On the control panel display, select the account that you want to use, and then select Continue.

To change scan account settings

a. On the printer control panel, select the Scan icon and then select Email.
b. On the control panel display, select the account that you want to change, and then select Modify.
c. Select what you want to modify, and then follow the on screen prompts.
